Organic Vanilla Beans Whole For Sale. Also known as vanilla pods, are the cured fruits of the vanilla orchid, prized for their rich, sweet, and complex aroma and flavor. They are the second most expensive spice in the world due to the labor-intensive hand-pollination and lengthy curing process. 

Popular Varieties and Grades
  • Madagascan (Bourbon) Vanilla beans: This is the most common and is known for its rich, creamy, and sweet flavor profile.
  • Tahitian Vanilla: This variety has a unique floral aroma with hints of chocolate.
  • Grade A (Gourmet/Premium): These beans are moist, pliable, and typically 15-17 cm long, ideal for general baking and cooking where the bean’s appearance is desired.
  • Grade B (Extract Grade): These beans are semi-dry to dry and are specifically conditioned to have a concentrated flavor, making them ideal for making homemade vanilla extract.

Product description:Grade B Tahitian and Bourbon variety vanilla pods compared to Grade A vanilla pods are visually less attractive, smaller in size and have a larger number of vanilla pods per kilogram.

Grade B vanilla pods are the most popular choice for making vanilla extract and pastes and for flavoring in brewery and distillery uses.

Variety / Origin:Tahitian variety vanilla pods, Papua New Guinea origin. Bourbon (Planifolia) variety vanilla pods, Papua New Guinea origin.
Quality:Grade B vanilla pods are visually less attractive so used where appearance is not and issue. They are the most popular choice amongst our brewery, distillery and Thermomix customers and are a good choice for a balance between budget and quality.
